Over three days from August 13th till August 15th 2023, Al Jazeera Media Institute, in partnership with Dialectic Institution for research-based media and training, organized a training course in the Lebanese capital, Beirut, titled "Journalistic Coverage in Conflict Zones" for Palestinian journalists residing in Lebanon.
Trainer Ibrahim Saber led the sessions, covering several key topics related to professional safety and how journalists should handle risks in times of peace and war. He also discussed the legal frameworks and mechanisms for journalist protection, as well as digital security and information encryption.
At the end of the course, Mohammad Khamaiseh, a journalist from Al Jazeera Media Institute, along with Hayat Al-Hariri, founder and director of Dialectic Institution, and trainer Ibrahim Saber, presented participation certificates to 20 journalists who took part in the training.
