Sustainable Development Goals Conference: Goal 16 and the Palestinian Cause

A regional conference titled "Sustainable Development Goals: Goal 16 and the Palestinian Cause" was held in the Lebanese capital, Beirut, on January 6.2023 The event was organized by Dialectic Institution for research-based media and training, under the patronage of Imaar & Iktissad Magazine, and in collaboration with the Beirut Metropolis Institute for Political Science and International Relations. The conference was attended by journalists, university professors, academics, media professionals, students, and activists from Lebanon, Palestine, and the Arab world.
The founder and executive director of Dialectic Institution, Dr. Hayat Al-Hariri, announced the launch of an annual award dedicated to journalists and activists engaged in the Palestinian cause, focusing on themes related to Goal 16, named after the martyred journalist Shireen Abu Akleh.
She also announced a plan to build on the outcomes of this conference through reviews, follow-ups, seminars, and specialized workshops, in collaboration with local, regional, and international media and human rights organizations. The initiative will emphasize youth engagement, particularly university students in Lebanon and worldwide, encouraging their participation and contribution to the cause.
